Differential Labs presentation on the drivers of player win loss

Don’t bet on it

A high house advantage can actually reduce revenues. That was the conclusion of Differential Lab’s Managing Director speaking at UNLV’s risk taking conference https://oasis.library.unlv.edu/gaming_institute/2023/May23/32/

Peister analyzed 300m betting transactions from an online iGaming operator and exploring the relationship between house advantage and actual player win/loss. The team at Differential Labs estimate the ‘inflection’ where a higher house advantage actually diminishes revenues by impacting the player experience.

Key insights includes
- Inflection rates vary based on the demographic and value of the patrons
- Inflection rates are well above median win rates at casino across the globe meaning operators still have room to adopt new and novel side-bets. See the full presentation
